1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and JobJourney ("we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of our website, platform, and services (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Services.
You must be at least 18 years old to use our Services. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older.
2. Service Description
JobJourney is an AI-powered platform designed to help job seekers prepare for interviews and manage their job search. Our Services include:
- AI Interview Practice: Real-time voice conversations with AI interviewers, personalized feedback, and performance tracking
- Resume Analysis: ATS compatibility scoring and optimization recommendations
- Cover Letter Generation: AI-assisted cover letter creation tailored to job descriptions
- Application Tracking: Tools to organize and manage your job applications
- Interview Calendar: Scheduling and management tools for your interview preparation
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time with or without notice. Features may change as we continue to improve the platform.
3. Account Registration
To access certain features of our Services, you must create an account:
- Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
- Accurate Information: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account
- One Account Per Person: You may only create and maintain one account unless authorized by us

- Use the Services to train competing AI models without authorization
Violation of these terms may result in immediate account termination and legal action.
5. User Content
"User Content" means any content you upload, submit, or provide through the Services, including resumes, cover letters, interview recordings, job descriptions, and any other materials.
Ownership:
You retain all ownership rights to your User Content. However, by uploading User Content, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:
- Store, process, and display your User Content to provide the Services
- Analyze your User Content with AI to generate feedback and recommendations
- Use anonymized, aggregated data derived from User Content to improve our Services
Your Responsibilities:
- You are solely responsible for your User Content
- You warrant that you have all rights to upload your User Content
- You represent that your User Content does not violate any third-party rights or laws
We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable.
6. Intellectual Property
The Services, including the website, software, AI models, design, branding, and all content (excluding User Content), are owned by JobJourney and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Our Ownership:
- Platform Code: All source code, algorithms, and software
- AI Models: Our proprietary AI interviewer models and training data
- Branding: JobJourney name, logo, and trademarks
- Content: All text, graphics, and multimedia on the platform
License to You:
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms.
Feedback:
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Services, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide license to use and incorporate such feedback without compensation to you.
7. AI-Generated Content
Important Disclaimer: Our AI-generated feedback, interview simulations, and recommendations are for practice purposes only and do not constitute professional career advice.
No Guarantees:
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of AI-generated content
- AI feedback is based on patterns and algorithms, not human judgment
- We do not guarantee that using our Services will result in job offers or interview success
- Interview outcomes depend on many factors beyond our control
Your Responsibility:
You are responsible for all decisions you make based on AI-generated content. We recommend:
- Verifying AI feedback with professional career advisors when needed
- Using the Services as a supplement to, not a replacement for, other interview preparation
- Exercising your own judgment in applying recommendations
8. Subscription and Payments
JobJourney offers both free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans provide access to premium features.
Pricing and Billing:
- Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
- Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice to active subscribers
- All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or stated in our refund policy
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date
Payment Processing:
Payments are processed by third-party payment processors. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees incurred.
Cancellation and Refunds:
- You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings
- Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period
- No refunds for partial months or unused features
- Free trial users may cancel anytime during the trial without charge
9. Service Availability
We strive to provide reliable Services, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free operation.
- No Uptime Guarantee: We do not guarantee 100% uptime or availability
- Maintenance: We may perform scheduled or emergency maintenance that temporarily interrupts access
- Modifications: We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue features at any time
- Technical Issues: We are not liable for service interruptions caused by factors beyond our control
10. Termination
Your Right to Terminate:
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion:
- Your access to the Services will be immediately terminated
- Your User Content will be deleted per our Privacy Policy
- No refund will be provided for unused subscription time
Our Right to Terminate:
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if:
- You violate these Terms or our policies
- You engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activities
- We are required to do so by law
- Your account has been inactive for an extended period
Effect of Termination:
Upon termination, all licenses and rights granted to you will immediately cease, and you must stop using the Services.
11. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
We Disclaim All Warranties Including:
- Merchantability: The Services are fit for a particular purpose
- Accuracy: AI-generated content is accurate or reliable
- Results: Use of the Services will lead to employment or interview success
- Uninterrupted Access: The Services will be error-free, secure, or always available
- Third-Party Decisions: Employers will make hiring decisions in your favor
JobJourney is a practice tool, not a career counseling service. We are not responsible for interview outcomes, hiring decisions, or employment results.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JOBJOURNEY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
Excluded Damages:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
- Personal or professional injury arising from use of the Services
- Third-party actions (such as employer hiring decisions)
- Service interruptions, errors, or data loss
Liability Cap:
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the greater of:
- The amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or
- $100 USD
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability for certain damages. In such cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
13. Dispute Resolution
Governing Law:
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Informal Resolution:
Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at legal@jobjourney.pro to attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
Arbitration (Optional):
If informal resolution fails, disputes may be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules, unless prohibited by law.
Jurisdiction:
You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of state and federal courts located in Delaware for any disputes not subject to arbitration.
14. General Terms
Entire Agreement:
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and JobJourney regarding the Services.
Severability:
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
No Waiver:
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
Assignment:
You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
Changes to Terms:
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
